Warner Press Celebrates Anniversary of Bestselling "The Princess and the Kiss" Series with New Title and Audiobooks
Anderson, Ind.--In celebration of the 10th anniversary of "The Princess and the Kiss" and the fifth anniversary of its companion book, "The Squire and the Scroll," Warner Press announces new additions to the series of beloved books by bestselling author Jennie Bishop. Warner Press has released a new title, "The Princess and the Kiss: The Three Gifts of Christmas" that celebrates the spirit of generosity at Christmas, as well as anniversary editions of "The Princess and the Kiss" and "The Squire and the Scroll." Each includes an audio CD version of the story told in the book.
Bishop's newest tale, "The Princess and the Kiss: The Three Gifts of Christmas" is based on Acts 20:35 and teaches the importance of giving. Christmas has come again to the kingdom, but the king and queen (the original princess in "The Princess & the Kiss") are concerned their precious daughter is becoming spoiled. To cure the princess of her selfishness, this Christmas the princess will receive only three gifts, each one as precious as she is to her parents. What the princess decides to do with the gifts she receives helps her discover the true meaning of Christmas and learn the truth—the best gifts come from the heart.
"I wrote the book to give today's parents and children the opportunity to consider meaning over quantity in gift-giving, and to show truly how much better it is to give than to receive," Bishop said.
Each copy of "The Three Gifts of Christmas" and the anniversary editions of "The Princess and the Kiss" and "The Squire and the Scroll" will include an audio CD with the book. The audio versions feature narration and character voiceovers by Jennifer Wilson, who is a co-host of the "ViewPoint" program on Christians Broadcasting Hope (CBH) radio broadcasts and an accomplished vocalist and Christian educator. Her dramatic reading is underscored by original musical accompaniment by composer Jay Rouse, a leading arranger and orchestrator in Christian music publishing.
The release of the 10th anniversary edition of "The Princess and the Kiss" and the fifth anniversary edition of "The Squire and the Scroll" kicked off a yearlong anniversary celebration culminating in July 2010. These books and "The Princess and the Kiss: The Three Gifts of Christmas," are now available at retailers nationwide and online.
